Dipsy Doodle, 1965

The Dipsy Doodle opened in 1965 and was located on the Johnson City Highway (now Ft. Henry Drive) at the Warrior’s Path State Park Entrance in Colonial Heights.

The Dipsy Doodle was opened in 1965 by Alma and Ben Price. By 1971, the restaurant was owned by John Kane and Garland Smith. Alma Price later owned and operated the Downtown Coffee Shop on Cherokee Street. In 1976,   Dipsy Doodle was destroyed by a fire.
