Make a donation to the Friends of the Kingsport Public Library Endowment Fund!

You may make a donation in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone who enjoys the Library. Started in 1997, this fund is “to provide a growing source of income to supplement the Friends’ support of the Library, provide services to those less fortunate, and make our excellent Library even better.”

The library itself can receive cash donations to purchase materials in memory of or in honor of someone, or to commemorate a special occasion: e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The gift will be used to purchase books. A card of notification will be sent. For a gift of $15 or more, a book will be purchased and a book plate added acknowledging the gift and naming the person for whom the book is a memorial. Series 5 Postcards

The new set of postcards (series 5) can now be purchased at the Kingsport Public Library’s circulation desk, the reference department, and in the archives. Each set includes 5 different scenes and are only $5.00! Postcards are also available for purchase individually for $1.00. You can inquire about individual postcards in the archives.

There are only a handful of Series 1 & 2 left and we are sold out of Series 3 & 4, so you might want to hurry and get Series 5!

Kingsport Postcards~Series 5

The Kingsport Postcard sets produced by the Friends of the Archives are back with brand new scenes! The postcards are produced using historical images from the Archives of the City of Kingsport.

Each set contains 5 postcards and are only $5.00. The newest series is printed on Premium, 80 lb glossy card stock and feature the Kingsport Press building, Broad Street, American Legion Swimming Pool, Glen Bruce park (prior to its creation) and the State Theatre.

The new postcards can only be purchased (at this time) from the Archives of the City of Kingsport.
